For most gym profiles the best primary category is Gym — use it when: membership gym. Choose Fitness center instead if larger fitness club. Choose Health club verify instead if club with pools / spa. Fitness categories should describe the venue and the main class format. A gym that runs a few yoga classes is still a gym; a yoga studio with a weights corner is still a yoga studio.

Add one only if the condition is genuinely true at this location. Fewer, accurate categories beat a full list of nine.
- Personal trainer — only if: personal training who else uses it
- Fitness center — only if: group classes
- Boxing gym — only if: boxing classes who else uses it
- Swimming pool — only if: pool who else uses it
- Sauna — only if: sauna who else uses it
1 category is marked verify: it may not appear in every account or country. If you can't find it in Google's dropdown, skip it rather than picking something close but wrong.

Address or service area?
