Google says edits to your profile can take up to three days to appear, and some edits are reviewed first. Google also compiles profile info from a variety of sources, including publicly available information such as crawled web content, so what customers see can differ from what you entered.
Step by step
- Wait up to three days after an edit before changing it again.
- Look for Google updates or a 'pending' notice on your profile. Google has a help page on managing Google updates to your Business Profile: review them, and correct any that are wrong.
- Make other sources agree with your profile. If your website, signage or directory listings show an old phone number, hours or address, Google may keep picking it up. Fix them at the source.
- Rejected edit? Check the change against Google's guidelines: names, descriptions and posts are rejected for keywords, links, promotions or irrelevant content.
- Name, address or category edits may lead Google to ask you to verify again; see verification pending.
What not to do
- Don't re-submit the same edit repeatedly; it doesn't speed anything up.
- Don't leave conflicting info on your own website.
- Don't make many big changes at once if you can avoid it; it's harder to see which one caused a review.

Common questions
How long do Business Profile edits take?
Google's 'Find your business' help page says changes can take up to three days to appear.

Google uses info from multiple sources and can update profiles; you can review those updates and correct them from your profile.
Honest note: This page summarises Google's own public help articles (linked above) plus common-sense checks. We are not Google and can't see inside your account, so we can't promise any outcome: Google alone decides suspensions, appeals, verification and rankings. Google changes its tools and wording often, so if anything here differs from what you see, follow Google's current help page.
